I have a ProLiant DL360 G6. I want(ed) to install Ubuntu. My business critical application will require 64-bit mode. I see from the Ubuntu website that the G6 is certified only for x86 (32-bit) kernel. However I also see, I think, from the HP website that RHEL and SUSE will run 64-bit kernel on the G6. From the support matrices, both are vendor certified and hp supported.I'm reluctant to just try Ubuntu 64-bit kernel, in case it turns out that it installs ok but then later after system goes into production a problem shows up.Suggestions?
